We have a large warehousing facility measuring with storage capacity of 35,000 sq. ft and over 2,0003m of racking space with an up-to-date warehouse monitoring system.

Our location in Thamesmead, South East London finds us strategically placed for easy access to the City of London and Kent, as well as into Essex and beyond. Conveniently situated almost on top of the M25 at Dartford, we can easily service the whole of the South East.

Receiving, handling and delivery of goods (RHD)

All products are palletised and shrink wrapped before being logged on to the internet based system and placed in their specific bays. The Harris Installation Services’ fully computerised system allows clients to access their stock inventory with ease. There is a secured area for storing confidential material with a convenient and easy to use internet based recall system.

Our warehouse staff are fully trained fire wardens and well equipped to deal with all aspects of storage and warehousing and we have plenty of floor space and racking for any intake or storage requirements our clients may have. For any additional service that may be required, we also have a workshop where we will carry out any adjustments or repairs to furniture as needed. Here we also offer a French polishing service.

Please note, as a special service, HIS can arrange to build desking, cabinets etc. in the warehouse in preparation for delivery to site. We will remove and refresh any old furniture. We can make repairs to any old items and use parts from unusable old furniture to refresh and enliven and breathe new life into tired furniture.

HIS warehouses are open during normal working hours from 08.00 to 17.00 Monday to Friday. Any deliveries/collections out of these hours should be pre-arranged with the Warehouse Manager at least 24 hours prior to arrival.

Helping towards a Greener Future

These days we are all involved in trying to make the world a better, healthier place that’s more in tune with itself and providing a brighter future for those who come after us. With this in mind, HIS have developed our own recycling and disposal service to deal with the debris collected as the result of an installation.

All wood, plastic, and metal is separated and recycled at local, reputable and fully licensed facilities. Sometimes the client might prefer that all redundant Product be donated to charity. We would be more than happy to help organise this, it is an opportunity for us all to give back to the community around us.
